NonceWard overview
What NonceWard is, how verified hashrate rental works, what is live in the closed beta and what is planned.
What NonceWard is#
NonceWard is a marketplace for hashrate (and later compute). Providers list mining rigs; renters rent them by the hour and point them at their own pool or solo setup. Every rented rig mines through NonceWard's own Stratum proxy, which checks each share and measures the real hashrate. Providers are paid from escrow every 10 minutes for proven work only, and unused funds go back to the renter.

The three ideas behind it:
| Measured by us | The proxy re-computes the RandomX hash of every share and estimates hashrate from share difficulty. Numbers reported by the provider or the pool are never used. |
| Escrow every 10 minutes | The rental is paid upfront into escrow. Each 10-minute window releases payment for proven work. Below 70% of the promised hashrate the payout is cut in proportion; downtime pays nothing. |
| Pool or solo | Point the rental at any Stratum pool or at your own solo setup (for example P2Pool on your node). Verification works the same either way. |
Closed beta status#
NonceWard is in a closed, invite-only beta. You can join the waitlist with your email address on the home page; signing in for the first time needs a one-time invite code (NW-…). Features, prices and limits can change. Use it only with amounts you can afford to lose.

How a rental works#

- A provider lists a rig, connects it to the proxy with its rig key and passes a 20-minute benchmark. Only the measured hashrate is shown to renters. The provider holds a $20 stake.
- A renter picks a rig, the hours and a target pool or solo endpoint, and pays the rental plus a 3% fee through RugWard Pay. The money is held in escrow.
- The proxy checks every share, counts verified difficulty and forwards shares that meet the target to the renter's pool or node.
- Every 10 minutes the escrow releases payment for that window's proven work.
- At the end, everything not earned (and the matching part of the renter fee) is refunded to the renter.
